Assist His Excellency the President in the general supervision and management of the administration of Government;
Proffer advice to His Excellency the President on pertinent issues of Government;
Assist the President in ensuring the effective implementation of specified or other Government programmes;
Supervise economic Ministries, namely; Transport and Infrastructural Development; Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement; Energy and Power Development; Industry and Commerce; Mines and Mining Development; Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry; Information Communication Technology and Courier Services; Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development; Public Service Labour and Social Welfare; Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services; Local Government, Public Works and National Housing; and Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development;
Chairs Cabinet Committees on Food Security and Nutrition (CFSN); State Enterprises and Parastatals Development (SEPD) and Honours and Awards;
Responsible for the administration of the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe and the Research Council of Zimbabwe; and
Assist His Excellency the President in overall supervision of the Transitional Stabilisation Programme and Vision 2030.
